Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
We do not collect personal information. The platform has no registration, email collection, or tracking pixels. Your bookmarks, personal notes, and reading history are stored only in your browser's localStorage — they never leave your machine. Clearing your browser data removes all offline data.
2. Server logs
For security and rate-limiting purposes, request counts are tracked by IP address for admin ingestion API calls (in-memory or Upstash Redis). This counter does not identify any individual and expires automatically after a set period.
3. Third-party services
An on-demand audio CDN (everyayah.com) and a language model service (Google Gemini) are used — only during admin PDF ingestion, which runs against your own local PDFs. No reader queries or prompts are sent to these services.
4. Cookies
Cookies are used solely to remember your selected theme (light/dark). There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Terms of Use
1. Purpose and nature
This is a non-profit, educational, and research platform. The Quran text is sourced from the Tanzil project; the tafsir is based on the original work of Syed Abul A'la Maududi (R). Content on this platform is not intended to be used as a formal religious ruling (fatwa).
2. Accuracy of information
Automatic theme tagging and semantic search are AI-based and currently in beta. We recommend cross-checking results with regular research and printed publications. Please report any errors you find.
3. Prohibited use
Security testing, automated scraping, or attempts to increase load on the platform are not permitted. The admin ingestion API does not function without its designated rate-limit tokens.
